"You've Got a Friend"
"You've Got a Friend"
I have spent 40 years working as a teacher with children and adults on the autism spectrum helping them to prepare and realize their dreams. Now upon my retirement I would like to take the knowledge I have gained and help those who want to pursue their dreams but need just a bit more help to get there.
I am currently contracted with DSHS to provide Community Access opportunities to individuals who have qualified for Waiver Services. This funding source allows me to facilitate access to and enjoyment of community events and activities chosen by the individual I am serving.
Additionally I am providing social support and scholarship funding to individuals who desire to use their skills in a job setting or wish to gain new skills. This support can be provided to anyone who desires and would benefit from such support. Priority will go to individuals who have a need for more support than current state and community agencies are able are to provide. The funding is through donations from anyone wishing to support this project. As well as from product purchases of goods sold on this site. A link is included if you wish to donate. All funds received go directly to providing support.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and assist individuals to find meaningful employment within our community.
